BEYOND BEARD STORY

Beyond Beard is the result of a life experience I had when I was a seventh-grader and had severe acne that made me feel very insecure. I consulted with the doctors, but they told me it was due to a disturbance in the hormones. But actually, it was a digestive issue and a bad skin care routine, which was later diagnosed by the doctor.

Growing up in South Punjab, where farming communities are predominant and traditional values prevail, skincare was considered a female domain. My father, who was an Associate Professor, was never exposed to such challenges, nor used such products in his life. In our society, it was taboo for men to use skincare products. There was a common belief until now that surkhi and powder (in the local language, for skin care products) are only for women.

When I was in my first year of university, I took a six-month treatment process: a combination of the proper medication and a good skincare schedule. The outcomes were revolutionary. I had not seen bright and healthy skin looking back at me in the mirror in several years. When I was doing my skincare routine, my friends were also part of the taboo who think that skincare doesn't belong to men at all. This is the 100% women's domain. So, I decided to start a men's grooming brand to break that taboo because it’s an equal right for men to enjoy flawless skin.

Beyond Beard was founded on the simple idea that every man should feel comfortable in his own skin. We do not pursue false ideals of beauty or buy to transform who you are. Instead, we are working on a single, clear mission: to give back what environmental factors have deprived you of. Imagine when you were a child: you had clear skin by nature, fine hair and shiny teeth.

Gradually, this natural liveliness was destroyed by pollution, stress, poor diet, and harsh weather. Our products will be aimed at undoing these impactful effects on the environment and helping you get back to your best, true self.

Nor will we say that our products will make your skin lighter, nor change your skin tone. We are building a place where men's grooming is accepted and even celebrated, and where solutions are scientifically developed with proven ingredients that solve real issues. We know that men face distinct problems in traditional communities, and we are to shatter those taboos.
